The Dancing Bear is now Wheeler’s Inn.

As we rebuild from all we lost with Hurricane Helene in September 2024 we decided to find a name that better represents who we are and who we serve. We are still the same laid back, friendly place to stay just now with fewer bears. We hope you will still stop by to park your wheels and rest your heels.

Nestled in the heart of Damascus, our inn is perfectly located for a ride or hike on the trails, a splash in the river, a weekend break or a leisurely mid-week holiday.

  • Book online directly, call or text for rates and availability, 276.475.8778.

  • Check-in is after 4 p.m and before 10pm.
    Check-out is 10 a.m.

  • Free cancellation 48 hours before earliest check-in time. Forfeit of the first night if cancelled within 48 hours.

  • All rooms include free WIFI.

  • Bikes are not allowed in the house.

  • There is NO SMOKING permitted inside any of the buildings on the property.

  • No pets allowed

  • Be aware, we are a cat friendly home. Max and Ella want to meet you, but don’t let them talk you into letting them out.
